Our Annual Boxing Day Competition is back and this year falls on a Friday. Name me a better way to walk off the Christmas dinner and enjoy some festive golf with friends!

We’ll kick things off with the traditional 9am shotgun start, but make sure you arrive early for a warming coffee and Andys traditional briefing. 

• 8:00am – Reception open for pre-golf coffee’s and entry fee payments

• 8:30am – Andy’s briefing & starting hole allocation

• 9:00am – Firework for Shotgun start and 9 holes of festive fun!

• 11:00am – Hopefully all done and hand in scorecards

• 11:30am – Meet at the Royal Oak 

• Quick Presentation and beverage then home in time for leftover sandwich and Boxing Day footy

• Non-member – £20

• Affiliate member – £17

• Full member – £10

To secure your place, a £5 deposit per person (or full payment) must be paid at Reception, please pay deposits in cash by Sunday 14th December.

You can enter individually or in teams of up to 4 players. If you’re short of a full team, don’t worry – we’ll group you up so everyone can join in. Spaces are limited to 40 players, so get you and your mates in early!

Prizes will be awarded in both WHS and non-WHS categories. If you don’t have a WHS handicap, you’ll need to hand in  two scorecards to Golf  Reception for a BLGC handicap before entries close so we can have it all ready for the day.

We always ensure a fair prize split across the field.

Note: The competition will go ahead in all weather conditions except snow – so wrap up warm and get ready to swing off some of that Christmas indulgence!
