Celebrating the Women of Our Golf Club – International Women’s Day
On International Women’s Day, we take a moment to celebrate the incredible women who help make our golf club such a special place.
From Deb welcoming members and guests with a smile, to Fran keeping the club running smoothly behind the scenes, to Julie helping us a few hours a week with Marketing & Social Media – the women in our team bring dedication, professionalism and passion to everything they do.
Golf has long been seen as a traditional sport, but today it is becoming more inclusive than ever with more and more women taking up this wonderful sport.
The girls working at our club are part of that positive change—showing that the game is for everyone and inspiring the next generation to get involved.
Their hard work, teamwork and enthusiasm create the friendly atmosphere our members enjoy every day. We are proud to have such talented and committed women as part of our club.
This International Women’s Day, we say a big thank you to the amazing women and girls who help our club thrive including Fran Dougill who is currently the 2026 Junior Girls Handicap Captain for Derbyshire County Golf, our Tuesday morning Ladies Golf Networking and Coffee Morning group who are all learning to play, our regular Thursday morning ladies group and all the women and girls who enjoy golfing with us.
