Many of you will remember our friend and member, Martin Bembridge who tragically lost his life in a car accident in February 2023. It’s our second year hosting our event in memory of Martin an we hope you can join us in honouring his memory and love for golf.

Martin was a regular player at the course and in our weekly competitions – a larger than life gentle giant with a story to tell and a smile on his face.  We are once again holding the event to remember Martin and raise money for a local cause close to Martins heart – Mosborough FC – where his son Harry still plays.

Last year we had 22 players with Affiliate Member Nigel Cowell taking the trophy.  Nigel is looking forward to defending his win and we’d love to have a some more people participate.  Here’s all the details of the event:

Prize presentation will follow at The Royal Oak in Barlborough at 1pm where we hope you will join us for a drink to Martin.   We won’t be providing any food as we’d like to maximise the profit for the charity.

The event is open to all – you just need either a WHS (to win the shield) or a BLGC handicap to take part. Please do consider playing to help make this event a huge success. If you are unable to participate on the day, we are holding a raffle on the day so we’d love a donation towards that if you are able.
