We recently sent Shaun away down south to complete some learning of a different type. Shaun has been practicing with plastic clubs, completing online classes alongside face-to-face workshops and we’re delighted that Shaun is now a qualified Community Golf Instructor with England Golf!
So what does this mean for Shaun? It means he can assist our PGA Golf Professionals in delivery of golf programmes and can promote/develop golf within our local community.
The main objective of the CGI program is to grow the game of golf by making it more accessible and enjoyable for a wider audience. Shaun and our PGA Professionals play a crucial role in fostering a love for golf at grassroots level, encouraging lifelong participation in the sport. Shaun and I will be going out into the community across various settings, including schools, community centers, and local clubs and groups. We are also looking at running further beginner courses and masterclasses here with Shaun’s assistance.
Next up is Fran who will be undertaking her training in August. If she passes, Fran will look to join Andy in offering some weekday coaching sessions and masterclasses
