 LOCAL RULES AND COURSE ETIQUETTE

Please take time to familiarise yourself with our local rules and course etiquette  – these are printed on the reverse of our scorecards and can also be found on our FAQ page.  In particular, we draw your attention to the following:

  • Out of Bounds – which is beyond all boundary fences/walls, beyond all white posts (left hand side on the 2nd and right hand side on the 9th***) and balls landing on the driving range.
  • Keep up with the speed of play and let faster players through.
  • Please, please, please repair your pitchmarks – here’s a ‘how to repair your pitchmarks‘ video – and we now insist on all players carrying a pitch repair tool with them.
  • No bag sharing allowed – each player must have their own set of clubs in their own golf bag.

***The 9th fairway runs alongside the back of the 5th green – we have many complaints of golfers trying to get over the pond in one shot playing over the 5th green, and have had a couple of instances where people on the 5th green have been hit.

Please play an appropriate tee shot on the 9th.

 GROUP BOOKINGS

Groups of over 12 players are charged at the appropriate Affiliate Rate provided tee times are booked in advance.  We do not have facilities to provide food, however you can add tea/coffee on arrival plus a warm up 30 basket for an additional £4.50 per head.

PGA QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS/BIGGA MEMBERS

Courtesy is offered to PGA Pros and BIGGA members PROVIDED that you ring up in advance and book a tee time.  Please do not just turn up and ask for courtesy.

DOGS

Whilst there is a public footpath that runs through the course that members of the public are allowed to walk on with dogs (under close control), we do not allow dogs to accompany golfers on any activity operated by us under any circumstances (except guide dogs).

DRESS CODE

We aren’t particularly strict about what you wear to play golf, however a suitable tee or polo shirt must be worn at all times (no ‘vests’), along with suitable weather appropriate footwear – ideally golf shoes.
