Have you heard about our new PMP loyalty card on offer here at Barlborough Links Golf Club?  ‘Oooh what’s that all about?’  ‘What does PMP mean?’ I hear you ask.  Lets find out…

What is a PMP Loyalty Card?

Simply buy four baskets of range balls and get your fifth one free.  Ask for a PMP card at Reception when you buy your next basket and our staff will get your first stamp on there.  When you have four stamps, you’ll get your next basket FREE!!!

What does PMP mean?
PMP stands for Practice Makes Permanent.  Our Head Professional, Andy Carnall has a favourite saying:  ‘Practice shit golf and you’ll get really good at shit golf’.  Your PMP card is a reminder that you need to practice quality golf if you want to get better, so if you are coming to the driving range and not getting any better, or you are becoming more frustrated, then you might want to look at taking some golf lessons.  Learning from a well-meaning family member or mate who really isn’t qualified to teach golf will just end up with you having lessons eventually, but with ingrained habits that will have to be unlearned – it will cost more in the end to sort out your golf swing than if you just started off your learning journey with lessons.

We have a number of coaching offerings available suit every budget:

  • Free coaching – this takes place every Wednesday evening from 6pm – 7:30pm on the driving range.  You pay for your basket of balls – the coaching is free.  Come as often as you like – theres no limit to how many free coaching sessions you can attend.  Last baskets is 7pm.
  • Group Coaching – We run adult beginner courses every so often.  Our next one starts on the 13th May – all the details are here.
  • Learn Golf in a Day – Our complete beginner course where you’ll earn the basic principles of golf in a fun one day session – details here.
  • Individual Coaching – Our Class AA PGA Professional, James Gill is on hand to coach you on a one-to-one basis offering lessons on all aspects of your golf.
  • Junior Group Coaching – get the kids involved!  We run sessions every Saturday morning – details here.  We also run Girls Golf Rocks (for girls aged 5 – 18) and Get Into Golf Rookies (anyone aged 5 – 18) sessions in association with England Golf to encourage more kids to learn golf in a fun, Safegolf accredited environment.

With our Flightscope ball tracking technology where you get to keep all your data and monitor your improvement, theres certainly no need to practice shit golf – come and learn good habits which will set you up for an enjoyable experience wherever you play golf.
